Have any tips for ensuring my piece is a fit for Oak Laurel?

Should I include links within the piece?

Should I write a headline? 

Yes, an engaging headline is very important. It is best if you draft several headlines for us to choose from. As with other parts of the article, we reserve the right to edit it to suit our needs.


Will you edit my post?

Yes, we may edit your article. However, the article you submit must have already been edited and be a high-quality article that is well researched, factually correct and without any spelling or grammatical errors.


Can I repost my submission on my blog?

No. If we run your post on our site, we retain the rights to that content. We don’t allow republishing on your own blog or any other website.


Are you definitely going to publish my piece?

We reserve the right to not publish your post if we decide it’s not a good fit for our site. You are then free to publish it elsewhere.


Should I include a photo?

Yes, but ensure that it has creative commons free for commercial use without attribution and provide a link to where you found it.


What should I do after I submit my post?

When your post is live we hope you will actively respond to any comments and share your post on social media!

Can I reserve the rights to the article?

By submitting an article as a guest post you are transferring all the rights to the article to oaklaurel.com.au.
